Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Minoa Chang earned an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology - San Diego/Alliant International University. She is a clinical supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, and Psychology interns at The Center for Grief Care and Education at The Institute for Palliative Medicine, and teaches graduate courses in counseling and psychology both in local universities and abroad. As a licensed psychologist she has provided individual and family psychotherapy in in-patient and out-patient mental health facilities, frequently attending to those dealing with loss/grief, life transition and/or bereavement, cultural/acculturation issues, and chronic mental illness, in addition to performing psychological assessments and pre-martial counseling. Dr. Chang gives presentations, lectures and trainings to professionals in Southern California, as well as talks about mental wellness and mental illness to the lay public, and offers her services in Portuguese and in Spanish.
