Biographical Sketch: Bio Voni de Almeida
Voni de Almeida is a Social Worker at Hospice of the Western Reserve. She recieved her BA & MA from Cleveland State University in Social Work. She has been a Social Worker with Hospice since 2005. Prior to working with Hospice she worked as a Social Worker in the nursing home setting. In that time she has served many patients and families in and out of the Hospice setting. Such as assiting them with end of life decision making, Advanced Care Planning and understanding Medicare and Medicaid Benefits. Voni has conducted workshops at Lorain Community College. She has spoken to several oragnizations in the Greater Cleveland Area. In the Hospice of the Western Reserve Organization Voni is used as a Facilitator for a Leadership Group as well as a Supervisor for several Social Work interns. She has presented at our annual fall conference. Voni serves as Co-Chair for the Hispanic Healthcare Committe and has been part of La Convencion representing Hospice of the Western Reserve.
