Biographical Sketch:
Joseph Pirrello is originally from Chicago, IL, receiving his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Northern Illinois University. Joe taught at the high school and community college levels in suburban Chicago and San Diego, CA. Joe received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from National University, San Diego. He has worked in the areas of child abuse, juvenile probation, alcohol and drug treatment, domestic violence and sexual assault as a therapist, clinical supervisor, program manager and director of clinical services. Joe joined the staff of The Center for Grief Care and Education at The Institute for Palliative Medicine in 2006. He is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Approved Clinical Supervisor in the Counseling Internship Program in The Center for Grief Care and Education. He provides individual and group supervision, training and mentoring to local, national and international interns from colleges and universities throughout the United States.
