Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Wilson teaches direct practice in the School of Work including Social Work Practice with Death, Dying, and Loss (micro practice) and Social Work Administration (macro practice). Prior to his work in academia, Dr. Wilson had extensive experience in human resource management with various organizations and worked for many years as a hospice social worker. Dr. Wilson's research interests and areas of specialization are in medical and geriatric social work with older adults including death, dying, and bereavement (e.g., terminal care bio-ethics, cross-cultural bereavement), hospice care, and family caregiver issues. Previous research experience has also included workplace diversity issues, AIDS and HIV, as well as gerontological social work labor force demand.
