Biographical Sketch:
M. Bernadine Parks, MS, PCC-S presently serves as the Director of Pathways of Hope grief counseling center at The Hospice of Dayton/The Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties in Dayton, Ohio. Prior to joining The Hospice of Dayton team in 2003, she gained over 20 years experience in a wide variety of settings, including employee assistance, homeless shelter programs and private practice in independent and pastoral counseling settings. Throughout her career grief and loss as a lifespan concern and brief approaches to psychotherapy have been areas of significant clinical interest. Since 1983 she has served as adjunct faculty in the Department of Human Services, College of Education at Wright State University,teaching a wide variety of graduate and undergraduate courses, including Death and Dying, Grief and Loss Issues in Counseling, Brief Therapy and Supervision in Counseling.
