Biographical Sketch:
Victoria Wild is the Director of Volunteer Services at Hospice of the Valley in San Jose CA. She has over 16 years of volunteer management and supervisory experience in the not for profit hospice setting. Victoria manages and oversees a broad range of volunteer programs and services that includes massage, reiki, music, pet companion, vigiling, and more. With over 150 volunteers to provide direct patient care, pre-hospice program (Transitions), grief support, community outreach, fundraising and office support, Victoria continues to enhance Hospice of the Valley's volunteer program and services to include aromatherapy and a 'teen' program. In the spring of 2009, nine Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care members successfully participated in Hospice of the Valley’s Spring Volunteer Training. The nine “train-the-trainers” are part of the Coalition’s faculty and some are direct patient care volunteers with Hospice of the Valley. Victoria serves as a consultant to this innovative Chinese American hospice and palliative care volunteer training program.
