Biographical Sketch:
Barb Kamlet, MA,NCC has been the Volunteer Program Coordinator at Exempla Lutheran Hospice for over ten years. She also provides individual and group grief support and developed and manages The Dragonfly Program Grief Support for Young People. Barb has a Masters in Liberal Studies that focused in spiritual perspectives and grief and loss issues and recently earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Regis University in Denver. Barb was a co-presenter of “Helping Patients Cope as They Enter into Hospice” at the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology Conference held in Denver, Colorado in October 2008. She presented "Curtains and Walls - Grief Support for Hospice Professionals Grieving the Death of Their Own Family Member or Close Friend" at the 11th CTC in Atlanta. Barb became intimately familiar with the unique challenges and needs of hospice professionals around personal loss following the death of her father in May 2008.
