Biographical Sketch: Robin develops and implements VITAS’ volunteer and bereavement services for use nationwide.
Robin is a member of the bereavement professional steering committee and ethics committee of NHPCO and is on the FHSSA board of directors.
Robin also serves as liaison between FHSSA and and VITAS’ African hospice partners. She also provides support and education to VITAS’ ethics committees.
Since joining VITAS in 1993, Robin has been a field social worker, team manager, bereavement manager and psychosocial services consultant. She received the national VITAS Award for Excellence in Management, has been named to VITAS’ Leadership Council and won the San Diego chapter’s NASW Social Worker of the Year Award.
Robin earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of California.
