Biographical Sketch:
Gwynn B. Sullivan RN, MSN serves as Director of Access for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) where she is responsible for developing community outreach, access and engagement programs and resources for hospice provider members located across the country. Gwynn also serves as NHPCO’s pediatric liaison and works directly with the Children’s Project on Palliative/Hospice Services (known as ChiPPS). She is a featured national speaker on a variety of end-of-life care topics. In addition, Gwynn has served as a faculty member for the 'Being with Dying: Professional Training Program in Contemplative End-of-Life Care' at the Upaya Institute and holds a consulting faculty appointment at the Duke University School of Nursing. Gwynn formerly worked with the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast’s Rallying Points Regional Resource Center, and The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care. At The Carolinas Center, she was responsible for implementing statewide initiatives to improve care at the end of life, a project that won an Award of Excellence from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Gwynn's professional passion is program development and her versatile range of experience includes developing award-winning outreach programs at the national, state and local level. For over 25 years, she has developed programs to address pediatric to elderly issues, wellness to end-of-life care, and integrative approaches to improve healthcare delivery.
