Biographical Sketch: Laura Larson, LCSW, is a Grief Counselor and Intern Supervisor at Hospice of the Valley. Laura has fourteen years experience as a Medical Social Worker and grief counselor working in a hospital setting, out-patient clinics, hospice care and private psychotherapy practice.
During her four years at Hospice of the Valley, Laura has worked as a grief counselor with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her primary focus is child loss and she provides support and hope to many parents who have lost a child. In her role as Intern Supervisor, Laura provides training and clinical supervision for graduate student trainees in Marriage and Family Therapy and post graduate interns. Laura has extensive training in grief and loss and has a certificate in Grief and Loss Studies. Laura has done numerous presentations on grief and loss in the greater Bay Area. Laura is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and The American Academy of Bereavement.
