Biographical Sketch: I earned an undergraduate degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, then my Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, then a Doctor of Ministry from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago. I completed a 2 year Clinical Pastoral Education residency at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati.
I worked 12 years as a hospice chaplain and then have worked 4 years in my present position as Director of Spiritual Care, providing direction on new documentation and incorporating changes for some 45 chaplains, plus a Clinical Pastoral Education program. I added the responsibilities of Director of Bereavement earlier this year. I have presented at numerous local, state and national conferences over the past 10 years, including NHPCO and the Association of Professional Chaplains. I am currently on the steering committee for the Spiritual Care Section of NHPCO.
