Biographical Sketch: Currently, Dr. Daniel Hoefer is the Associate Medical Director for Sharp HospiceCare in San Diego, California. He also has an active Family Practice through Sharp Rees-Stealy in El Cajon, California.
Dr. Hoefer received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his residency at Northridge Family Practice. Dr. Hoefer has been board certified in Family Practice since 1993 and has been with Sharp Rees-Stealy establishing his practice since that time. He served on the Risk Management Committee for six years and Utilization Review Committee for Sharp Rees-Stealy since 1994. He was the Medical Director for Sharp Home Care for three years and has been the Associate Medical Director for Sharp HospiceCare since 2000. Dr. Hoefer is an EPEC trained physician who frequently presents educational conferences and seminars to physicians and other healthcare providers on issues surrounding the timely provision of end-of-life care.
