Biographical Sketch: Susan Tolle, MD is a founding member of the POLST program and has been involved in POLST development and research since 1990. Dr. Tolle directs the OHSU Center for Ethics in Health Care which is the administrative home of the Oregon and National POLST Programs. In 2010, Dr. Tolle received The Beth Wessinger Award “in appreciation of her dedication and commitment to the hospice, and end of life movement in the State of Oregon.”
