Biographical Sketch: Dr. Glenn Panzer is a fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice. He is a Board certified Family Physician with added qualifications in Geriatrics. He is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also certified in Long-term Care Medical Direction by the American Medical Director Association.
Dr. Panzer has recently been appointed the Chief Medical Officer of The Elizabeth Hospice and has been with the organization for over 6 and a half years. As a part time employee of Neighborhood Health he is contracted to serve as the Medical Director of Villa Pomerado, a skilled nursing facility owned by the Palomar/Pomerado Health Care System. Through the Palomar/Pomerado Health Care System he is Chair of their Palliative Care and Ethics Committees.
Prior to moving to California, Dr. Panzer served 11 years as the Medical Director of the Wyoming Valley Visiting Nurse Association, and 13 years as the Medical Director of multiple skilled nursing facilities in Pennsylvania. As Medical Director, he helped create the Transitional Care Unit of the Wyoming Valley Health Care System in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Dr. Panzer is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pa. and completed his residency in Family Medicine at The Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency Program.
