Biographical Sketch: John Monroe-Cassel, MDiv, MAT, has worked as chaplain and bereavement coordinator for hospices in four states over the past 10+ years. While meeting the necessary requirements of excellent spiritual and bereavement care for hospice patients and families, John always looks for the unusual, creative and transformative elements of adjusting to dying, death and grieving in his work. John's work with AseraCare Hospice, Boston, allows him the enjoyment and professional rigor of bereavement data tracking, counseling, community and facility memorial celebration service planning and delivery, year-long bereavement attention for patients' families and staff support in facilities, hospitals and offices.
John is also a long-time educator in public education, ecumenical and interfaith ministry, and community-based organizations, working with youth and adults in life transitions.
