Biographical Sketch: Elissa Al-Chokhachy, MA, RN, CHPN, FT has been working with the dying and the bereaved for over two decades. With her Master’s of Art in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement, Elissa is currently employed as a hospice nurse for Merrimack Valley Hospice, as well as a health care counselor at North Shore Community College. She is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse, a fellow in thanatology and the author of three books to help with loss & grief. Elissa frequently lectures on nearing death awareness, after death communication and near death experiences.
