Learning Objectives:
1. Implement strategies for identifying the gatekeepers in the African-American community
2. Identify cultural codes necessary to gain trust in the African-American community
3. Exercise the skills learned during the session to gain access into the African-American community
Working within the African-American community to gain access to its gatekeepers can be challenging. It requires having knowledge of  who the gatekeepers are, knowing the community's cultural codes and having an understanding of its people. In this session, participants will learn to identify the gatekeepers, acquire knowledge of cultural codes necessary to gain trust and learn how to gain access into the African-American community.
