CMS's Survey and Certification Office has disclosed the top 10 survey deficiencies cited by state surveyors during the hospice recertification process in fiscal year 2011-2012.  This session reviews the deficiencies from this CMS report, and then addresses each of them one by one—noting the related CoPs, actual examples from onsite surveys and measures your organization should be taking to be better prepared when state surveyors knocks on your door.
