Biographical Sketch: Cathy received her PhD in Aging Studies from the University of South Florida and has a Masters in Gerontological Nursing from the University of FL. A Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for over 25 years, Cathy has worked in Aging services and Hospice and Palliative Care in all care settings. Cathy has provided both hands on care and educational support to those providing care at several hospice organizations, most recently serving as the Clinical Practice Specialist at Empath Health, one of the largest community based hospice and palliative care programs in the country. Cathy is a frequent speaker at National and State Conferences on clinical management of hospice patients and on advance care planning.
