Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Penrod is an Associate Professor, School of Nursing; and Department of Humanities, Penn State College of Medicine at The Pennsylvania State University. She is currently funded as a PI on two National Institutes of Health funded grants, "Infusing End-of-Life Care into Complex Organizations: The Prison Study" and "Exploring the Formal/Informal Caregiver Interface across 3 Death Trajectories." As well she has completed two additional NIH funded grants (one as PI and one as Co-I). Both were focused on end-of-life. Dr. Penrod has over 40 papers published in peer-reviewed journals. She completed End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) core training.
