Biographical Sketch: Kyle R. Allen, DO
Dr. Allen graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at University of Cincinnati. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and holds a CAQ in Geriatric Medicine from the ABFM. He is Medical Director, Post Acute/Senior Services and Chief, Division of Geriatric Medicine at Summa Health System (SHS), and Program Director of the SHS Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program. He is Professor of Internal and Family Medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Dr. Allen completed the Practice Change Fellows Program www.practicechangefellows.org , a national leadership development program for geriatric leaders and clinicians and now serves on the national advisory board for this organization. He has been the principle investigator for several federally funded clinical trials and his research interests and focus has been on chronic illness care management and transitional care.
