Biographical Sketch: Paul Darryl Stith is the Director of Planned and Major Gifts for Hospice of the Bluegrass, Inc. and a solo legal practitioner in Lexington, Kentucky. DarrylÂ’s Hospice responsibilities include the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and documentation of major and planned gifts for Hospice, which serves 32 urban to rural counties in Kentucky.
Darryl is currently or has been responsible for capital campaigns totaling more than $5.5 million. He additionally has secured planned and major gifts in excess of $2.5 million in his seven years with Hospice of the Bluegrass. Prior to working for Hospice Darryl was Director of Planned Giving at the University of Kentucky. His private practice focuses on wills, probate and small business issues. Mr. Stith received his BA from the University of Kentucky in 1969 and his JD from UK in 1972. He a member of the Fayette County and Kentucky Bar Associations as well as the Central Kentucky Planned Giving Council and the Blue Grass Estate Planning Council. He is a frequent speaker on fundraising, probate, advance directives, and risk management issues.
