Biographical Sketch: Janet Carroll is currently doing independent consulting for hospice and palliative care organizations, having worked at Hospice of Lancaster County in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for over 26 years in an administrative leadership role as the Vice President of Clinical Services for the largest hospice in the state. On a state level she represented Pennsylvania on the Cahaba Hospice Advisory Group since its inception for over ten years and also served on the Board of the Pennsylvania Hospice Network, including two years as President. On a national level she has been active with NHPCO, serving as a National Director. Additionally, she was on the NHPCO Regulatory Committee, having served as chair from 2005 through 2008, providing leadership for the industry’s preparation for and implementation of the new Conditions of Participation, as well as numerous additional data collection requirements initiated by CMS over the past few years. She is currently serving on the NHPCO Data Advisory Council.
