Biographical Sketch: Certified advanced practice palliative nurse with an extensive background in hospice, palliative, and oncology care. Currently, VP of Clinical Initiatives for excellerx, Inc, a national prospective medication management company for hospice patients and the frail elderly. In this capacity, I oversee and lead the development of clinical decision support tools and quality initiatives for hospice programs and have participated in national level palliative care benchmarking projects. I have developed and deployed a patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) telephonic data collection and reporting program to measure symptom outcomes in hospice care that has been presented nationally at professional meetings. Previous work experience includes developing a palliative care curriculum for medical students, residents and geriatric fellows and working for many years as an APN in oncology. I have lectured extensively on the topic of pain and symptom management and other palliative topics both locally and nationally.
