Biographical Sketch: Ann is the CEO of Hospice of Santa Cruz County and has held the position since 2003. Ann worked as an administrator of human service programs – mental health, health services, youth and adult counseling services and family services such as Head Start since 1988. Prior to her moving into human service administration Ann was a finance manager and controller with Hewlett Packard and HP subsidiaries where Ann learned strong business and leadership practices and systems. Ann holds an MBA from the University of California and an MA in Education from the University of Michigan. In addition to working in the non-profit and business sector, Ann worked as a student services administrator at the University of Michigan for six years.
Ann has varied experiences across business sectors and as a community leader with school system, housing and health initiatives in Santa Cruz County. Ann is a board member for the Santa Cruz Health Improvement Partnership and has served as the United Way of Santa Cruz as executive advisor for the community assessment, an assessment performed every five years to determine community health and progress toward specific health, economic and safety goals.
