Biographical Sketch: Denise Skinner, RN, BSN is the Compliance Director at Capital Hospice responsible for the organization's regulatory oversight, policy and procedures and health care compliance.
Denise is a second career nurse who has been at Capital Hospice (formerly known as Hosipce of Northern Virginia) for over 20 years. She began her hospice career as serving the first pediatric hospice nurse after working 5 years as a PICU nurse. She also has worked as a hospice triage nurse and manager, director of two hospice offices and complex care analyst. She currently serves as a member of the NHPCO Regulatory Committee. In 2009 she completed a graduate certificate in Health Care Corporate Compliance.
