Biographical Sketch: Barry K. Baines, MD is the Associate Medical Director for Hospice of the Twin Cities. Dr. Baines graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1975 and he is board-certified in both Family Practice and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He has 17 years of experience as a hospice medical director.
He has spoken regionally and nationally on many palliative care topics to both professional and general public audiences. Dr. Baines is the author of Ethical Wills: Putting Your Values on Paper, Second Edition, Da Capo Press, 2006.
As a member of the Alliance of Community Health Plans, Barry chairs the Palliative Care Work Group which produced the Palliative Care Blueprint that is the focus of the presentation proposal.
