Biographical Sketch: Meg Pekarske has extensive experience in advising clients on the regulatory and contracting issues facing long term care and hospice providers, such as survey and certification, discharges, corporate compliance, vendor contracting, medical director relationships, palliative care development, QAPI and fraud investigations. She also assists hospice clients in resolving matters with various federal contractors, including ZPICs, RACs, MACs and MICs. Meg has co-authored a number of publications, including a "Medicare Hospice Appeals: From the ADR to the ALJ", the "Hospice Vendor Contracting Toolkit", the "Medical Director and Physician Contracting Toolkit for Hospice and Palliative Care", and the "Hospice and Nursing Home/Assisted Living Contracting Toolkit". She also helped develop a collection of palliative care resources for the NHPCO and its members.
