Biographical Sketch: My initial nursing experience in critical care, ER and Visiting Nurse Services lead to opportunities in end of life care. Having worked in several states I gained valuable exposure to health care systems across the country. I recently launched Fischer HealthCare Consulting, LLC with focus on executive level support for hospices, nursing homes and long term care facilities. My expertise is in collaborative relationships and leadership development for hospice programs. I currently serve as member of the Wisconsin State Department of Health Services education committee for Region 1.
I previously served as Director of Home Care Programs for the 3rd largest Midwest hospice. During my tenure I grew the census from 110 to over 350 in the long term care division and integrated the home care program for clinical management for a total census over 600. During this time, I enjoyed collaborating with multiple health care and LTC organizations providing consultation, education and conference speaking services.
