Biographical Sketch: Cathy Congo is the President/CEO of Old Colony Hospice, a free-standing non-profit hospice and palliative care agency, serving over 43 cities and towns south of Boston. Prior to joining OCH, Cathy was the Executive Director of a start up for-profit multi-site hospice. Cathy is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has 15 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility Administration and as a Regional Manager.
Cathy has led major and successful change initiatives throughout her career and has achieved some of the lowest staff turnover rates in her facilities. Leading change initiatives requires staff and leadership education and support. Cathy serves on the Board of Directors of the Hospice and Palliative Care Federation of Massachusetts and serves on their Public Policy Committee.
Cathy also worked as a health care social worker in long term care, acute rehabilitation facilities and acute care.
