Currently Executive Director and Co-Founder of The BeMoRe Organization, Renée Berry is also the Senior Editor for National Healthcare Decisions Day and Partner at BeMoRe Consulting. Renée also co-founded a weekly interdisciplinary forum on hospice and palliative medicine, the #hpm TweetChat. As Senior Editor of National Healthcare Decisions Day, Renée is instrumental in leading online engagement for NHDD, generating more than one hundred thousand page views within months of the 2011 NHDD Blog launch. While first experiencing hospice volunteering as a teenager, Renée has since developed a passion for increasing public understanding of hospice, early palliative care and advance care planning. She was a volunteer manager at a local hospice after working at Stanford Hospital in both the emergency department where she directed mediation & navigation services for patients and families and later in geriatric health services, co-managing an in-home emergency response program. Renée completed her undergraduate thesis on Hospice In Prisons at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she held internships with Hospice Partners of the Central Coast and the Elder Abuse Unit of Victim Witness Department of the San Luis Obispo District Attorney’s Office.
