Biographical Sketch: Brenda Blunt, MSN, RN, CHPPN, CCRN, RNC is the clinical manager for Gilchrist Kids, the pediatric hospice team of Gilchrist Hospice Care in Baltimore, MD. Since joining Gilchrist Hospice Care in April of 2010, Brenda has helped to develop this pediatric team and program to provide hospice care to pediatric patients of all ages. Brenda case manages patients in additon to her role as clinical manager. She works to not only educate and support families and providers, but also the larger community to bring awareness to pediatric end-of-life care.
Prior to joining Gilchrist Hospice Care, Brenda was a senior clinical nurse at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in the NICU, where she chaired several committees, including the Perinatal Bereavement Committee for the Maternal-Child Health Department and the Magnet Ambassador Committee.
Brenda is committed to serving families and their communities by providing the finest in pediatric end-of-life care. She is devoted to increasing awareness and use of such a needed service.
