Biographical Sketch: Sharon Jones is the Vice President for Development for Chapters Health System, Inc. In her role she is charged with oversight of the complete fund development program. With a staff of 9, and covering four counties in Florida, the department generated in excess of $4.5M in 2010 and received a cash gift of $1.5M for the naming of a hospice house in 2009. Sharon has been with Chapters Health System for six years. Prior to that time, she was in health care development in a hospital for fourteen years.
Sharon is a CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) as well as a Fellow of Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP) which is the highest level of achievement within AHP. The status of Fellow in AHP is the top level of achievement in the field of health care resource development. Attaining the Fellow designation is recognition of individual professional distinction, earned through dedication and continual self advancement and demonstrated commitment to ethical standards of professional practice. In addition, Sharon serves as the Regional Director of the Southeast Region on the AHP Board of Directors. This year, Sharon is a member of marketing/development group for NHPCO.
