Biographical Sketch: Tracey Wheatley is a registered nurse, and has been certified in hospice and palliative care for sixteen years. She works as the Director of Access at Hospice of Lancaster County in Lancaster, PA and has over twenty-six years of experience working in the hospice field. She oversees the daily operations of referrals and admissions as well as community education.
Tracey has developed and presented a wide variety of educational programs within the Lancaster community as well as on state and nation levels. She served two terms on the National Council of Hospice and Palliative Professionals Nurse Steering Committee prior to her election as Nurse Section Leader. She has written several articles that have been published in NHPCO’s Insights magazine, is a member of the her organization’s ethics committee and serves on several additional committees within the organization. Tracey is also a member of the Professional Advisory board at one the Lancaster area’s hospitals.
