Biographical Sketch: John graduated from Vanderbilt University and then UAB School of Medicine. He completed Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine training at Wake Forest University Hospital. John practiced Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine for years before starting Four Seasons Palliative Care program in 2003.
John is currently VP of Clinical Outreach and Medical Director of Palliative Care. He is a Fellow of the Academey of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians. He has overseen the growth Four Seasons palliative care in 3 hospitals, 27 nursing homes, clinics, and homes. He is a frequent speaker on palliative care leadership and the special needs of COPD and ICU patients.
