Biographical Sketch:
Jen Jackson holds a Master of Arts in Counselor Education and a Bachelors degree in Social Work. Jen has worked in the hospice industry (with both nonprofit and for profit hospices) for seven years serving in the capacity of Volunteer Coordinator, Community Outreach Representative and currently, National Manager of Bereavement & Volunteer Services for Evercare Hospice & Palliative Care. Jen is in her third year term with NCHPP: Volunteer/Volunteer Management Steering Committee Member. During Jen's tenure with Evercare Hospice & Palliative Care, she has implemented a Life Review, 11th Hour, Pet Visitation and Veterans volunteer programs at many of the Evercare Hospice markets, nationally. In 2009, Jen developed a National Education Model for Evercare Hospice to create a flexible learning modality for volunteers to receive their required ongoing education. Most recently, Jen has assumed oversight responsibilities for our National Bereavement Program. In both roles, Jen works closely with each of the coordinators, streamlining and standardizing processes, providing day to day operational support for the programs as well as coaching/developing the Volunteer & Bereavement Coordinators. Jen enjoys the training/development and program management aspects of the position and the opportunity from an operations perspective to help enhance the quality and care delivery outcomes within these programs.
