The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has added additional regulations and modified nursing home surveyor protocols related to residents at the end of life – and that makes this the perfect time to re-examine the relationship between hospices and nursing homes. Based on their experience in both the hospice and the long-term care industries, the presenters will discuss these changes, explore key hospice-nursing home contract areas, delve into surveyor protocols, and more.  Participants will gain valuable insight and understanding to support them in developing compliant practices with nursing facilities in their communities and to enhance their partnerships with nursing homes to benefit the patients and families receiving their care.
