Biographical Sketch:
Kent Anderson was named President/CEO of Hospice of Dayton and Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties in August 2010 following a nation-wide search by the Hospice of Dayton Board of Trustees. With more than eighteen years of top-level leadership experience in healthcare operations and Kent has led hospice programs in several states. He served as the Chief of Program Administration & Operations Officer at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers, Florida, where he was instrumental in more than doubling access to hospice care. He also served for 6 years in San Antonio, Texas as General Manager of a hospice program and led the opening of the first hospice in-patient unit in San Antonio. In addition to his health care experience, Kent also served as a Blackhawk Combat Helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army and Texas National Guard, and has over 3,000 flight hours. Kent Anderson has an MBA in Healthcare Management, has been married to Teri Anderson for 30 years and has two children, Joshua Anderson, a senior attending college on an athletic swimming scholarship and a daughter, Rebecca Anderson, who just completed her junior year at The Ohio State University. Since arriving in Dayton, Kent has participated and graduated from the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Dayton Program and expanded Hospice of Dayton and Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties to provide services to more patients than ever before.
