Biographical Sketch: Aaron has over 15 years of experience with BKD and oversees the operations of BKD Health Care Revenue Cycle Services, a special team that manages the billing and revenue cycle operations for more than 100 home care, hospice and senior living organizations throughout the nation. A CPA and leading national home care and hospice consultant, he frequently consults with providers and legal counsel on billing and operations compliance matters, including assisting providers with compliance audits related to Medicare Administrative Contractors, Recovery Auditors, Zone Program Integrity Contractors and other Medicare and Medicaid program integrity contractors. He is also experienced in planning, facilitating and managing Independent Review Organization audits required by providers subject to Corporate Integrity Agreements with the Office of Inspector General. Aaron also performs financial and operational consulting services for home care and hospice organizations, including operations reviews, productivity assessments, benchmarking, and Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation.
Nationally recognized for his expertise in home care and hospice revenue cycle and operations, Aaron serves on the Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association (HHFMA) Workgroup and is a leading member of its subcommittee on industry revenue cycle matters. He also chairs HHFMAÂs Young Financial Professionals Committee and is an ex officio member of the HHFMA Advisory Board. He routinely presents seminars focused on billing and revenue cycle operations, benchmarking, and compliance topics for the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, HHFMA, Visiting Nurse Associations of America and numerous other regional and state industry organizations.
