Biographical Sketch: Dr Todd Cote is the Program Director of the University of Kentucky , Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Co-Director of UK’s hospital–based Palliative Care Consult service. He is also the Chief Medical Officer of Hospice of the Bluegrass and the Palliative Care Center of the Bluegrass here in Lexington. He is Board–Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and holds Fellow status in both Academies.
Dr Cote is now in his 25th year of hospice and palliative medicine and has worked in the clinical, administrative, and political arena for end of life care at local, state and national levels. He has held academic teaching positions at Yale University School of Medicine, University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He is now Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky.He is co-editor/ author of the AAHPM's Hospice Medical Director Manual.
