Biographical Sketch: Lori Bishop, RN, CHPN, serves as Executive Director of Clinical Transformation for UnityPoint at Home. She has 32 years of nursing experience, including over 20 years’ experience in palliative care and hospice. Bishop is past president of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa (HPCAI) Board of Directors, and chairs the Palliative Care Advisory Group for HPCAI. She helped develop the HPCAI Hospice Residence Networking Group. For the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) she serves on the Public Policy committee as vice chair and chaired the New Models Task Force. Lori participated on a Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) Registry Questions sub-committee. She has presented nationally on various topics. Lori was honored in 2009 as one of Iowa’s 100 Great Nurses. In 2013, UnityPoint Health received the Circle of Life award for their system-wide Palliative Care program.
