Biographical Sketch:
Gwynn B. Sullivan RN, MSN serves as Director of Access for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) where she is responsible for developing community outreach, access and engagement programs and resources for hospice provider members located across the country, and internationally. Gwynn also serves as NHPCO's primary liaison for a Department of VA contract, and with NHPCO’s Pediatric Advisory Council, ChiPPS (Children Project on Palliative/Hospice Services). Additionally, Gwynn serves as Director of Global Partners in Care, NHPCO’s International Organizational Affiliate. Gwynn’s past accomplishments include serving as a faculty member for the 'Being with Dying: Professional Training Program in Contemplative End-of-Life Care' at the Upaya Institute and holding a consulting faculty appointment at the Duke University School of Nursing. Gwynn formerly worked with Suncoast Hospice’s Rallying Points Regional Resource Center, and The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care. At The Carolinas Center, she was responsible for implementing statewide initiatives to improve care at the end of life, a project that won an Award of Excellence from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Gwynn's professional passion is program development and her versatile range of experience includes developing award-winning outreach programs at the national, state and local level. For over 25 years, she has developed programs to address pediatric to elderly issues, wellness to end-of-life care, and integrative approaches to improve healthcare delivery.
