Biographical Sketch: Diane Snyder Cowan, MA, CHPCA, MT-BC is the director of The Elisabeth Severance Prentiss Bereavement Center of Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH. She has served on the Steering Committee of the NCHPP Bereavement Professional Section since 2008, and currently serves as the Section leader. She previously sat on the Board of Directors for the Certification Board for Music Therapy. Diane oversees hospice and community bereavement and expressive therapy for Hospice of the Western Reserve. She is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator and a Board Certified Music Therapist. Diane has presented on music therapy and grief and loss locally and throughout the country. She has been published on both music therapy and grief and loss in text books, professional journals and on-line sites. Diane strives to provide support and education to grieving individuals and those who work with them.
