Biographical Sketch: Sandy Kuhlman, BSN, RN is the Executive Director of Hospice Services and Palliative Care of Northwest Kansas that serves sixteen counties in northwest Kansas with a population base of 60,000. Sandy has served in this leadership role for more than thirty years. Sandy is currently working toward her MBA through Fort Hays State University virtual program. Sandy is involved at both the state and national level through service on several board and committees including leadership positions.
Hospice Services and Palliative Care of Northwest Kansas became the 15th certified hospice in Kansas in 1992. Hospice Services, Inc. formed Palliative Care of Northwest Kansas, LLC, in 2013 after hiring a full-time hospice and palliative certified physician and a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner achieved hospice and palliative certification recently through the support of Hospice.
