Biographical Sketch: Eugenia is the Corporate Compliance Officer and Vice President of Compliance and Quality for Hospice of the Bluegrass. As such, she oversees the functions of compliance, quality, accreditation, infection control and patient safety. She has an RN degree from Midway College, a BS in Healthcare Management from Independence University. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Compliance and holds Certificates in Healthcare Psychology and Healthcare Ethics.
She is currently serving on the NHPCO Quality and Standards Committee, AAHPM/HPNA Measure what Matters ®Task Force, Suncoast Solutions National Steering Committee, and immediate past Chair of the National Hospice Work Group Quality Forum as well as various state and regional associations. She has served on the Joint Commission Healthcare Services Task Force for Palliative Care Certification, CMS Hospice Quality Measures Technical Expert Panel CMS Experience of Care Technical Expert Panel. Prior to working with Hospice, Eugenia has over 30 years of broad based healthcare experience including clinical, managerial clinical information systems, DRG, Quality, Utilization, Acute and Chronic Care Management, and administrative experience in large and small hospitals, Managed Care organizations, not for profit, and federal Waiver programs. She has been employed by Hospice of the Bluegrass since 2003.
