Biographical Sketch: Dr. Stephen Leedy is Vice President of Operations at Seasons Healthcare Management, a national hospice and palliative care provider with 25 programs in 16 states. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and is the Immediate Past Chair of their national Public Policy Committee. Dr. Leedy is board certified in Family Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and is a certified Hospice Medical Director. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association (FHPCA). A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He currently resides in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Leedy is a sought-after speaker who has presented locally, nationally, and internationally. He has had original research articles published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine. He has made numerous television and radio appearances, and recently hosted a year-long live monthly call-in television program in Sarasota, Florida, in which he answered callers' questions about hospice and palliative care. He is a frequent presenter at NHPCO conferences.
