Biographical Sketch: Ellen is currently a doctoral student at The University of Texas School of Nursing and is an education specialist at the Texas Association for Home Care & Hospice. She is the former Director of Quality at Hospice Austin and in that role provided oversight for all aspects of the quality, risk management, and compliance programs. She has been an RN for 27 years, with 18 years experience in quality improvement in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, community mental health, home health, hospice, and the TMF Health Quality Institute. She is a a senior member of the American Society for Quality, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator, and serves on the NCHPP QAPI committee.
