Biographical Sketch: John C. Tangeman MD FACP is the Associate Medical Director at the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Buffalo, NY. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Medicine, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, NY. Prior to joining Hospice, he was a Primary Care Internist with the Buffalo Medical Group. While at Hospice, he helped develop and implement a successful home-based palliative care program in partnership with two local Medicare Advantage insurance companies. Other interests include evidence-based prognostication and application of an open access admission policy to Hospice
