This session will introduce participants to Global Partners in Care (formally FHSSA), an organizational affiliate of NHPCO, dedicated to the international development of hospice and palliative care. The presentation will focus on the organization’s global mission and the impact of its partnership program for both US and international participants. Additionally, it will demonstrate the need for worldwide hospice palliative care development, the reason for expanding globally and how US hospices can make their impact through the Global Partners in Care partnership program.

1. Describe the state of hospice and palliative care development in developing countries
2. Explain the mission of Global Partners in Care and it’s positive impact of partnerships on participating US and international hospice palliative care organizations
3. Determine global partnership opportunities and identify partner resources
