Most organizations aspire to a high level of professionalism and excellence, but may be seeking a workable, foundational plan for fostering everyday behaviors and attitudes that lead to excellence. This interactive session will provide a detailed example of how one hospice translated the agency's core values into practical, specific behaviors and attitudes designed to take staff and volunteers’ overall performance to a higher level.
Learning Objectives:
1. Explain the foundational importance of an organization's core values
2. Discuss the necessity of expanding a set of core values into specific behaviors
3. Identify a systematic approach for constructing formalized standards of behavior that translate an organization's core values into practical actions
